Man's body recovered
The Ichhapore police on Tuesday recovered the body of an unidentified 35-year-old man on the banks of the Tapi river on Tuesday morning. The body has been sent to the New Civil hospital for an autopsy and a case under section 174 of the CrPC has been registered, the police said.

Fatal fall
One Bhagwati Dudhat, a 25-year-old woman, a resident of Dhanmora Complex on Singanpore Road died on being admitted to the Ashaktashram hospital after she fell off the balcony of her house located on the fourth floor, the police said. The Katargam police, when contacted, stated that although investigations had begun, a case of accidental fall under section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been registered in the police station.

Burn deaths
Three people died in separate cases of burns deaths registered in city police stations on Tuesday. According to the Limbayat police, 18-year-old Hina Rawal died in the New Civil hospital of burn injuries. She was cooking in her house at Umiyanangar Society in the area when a kerosene can kept above spilled over her. The Limbayat police lodged a complaint based on the dying declaration of the girl. In another case of burns death, 26-year-old Alka Patel died in the Surat General Hospital, where she was being treated for burn injuries sustained over a month ago. In a third case of death due to burns, a 20-year-old woman, Sheela Ingle, also died in the New Civil hospital, where she was being treated for burn injuries sustained while cooking a week ago. The police have registered cases under CrPC 174 in the respective police stations.
