Winning the toss, Indo Club inserted Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on a placing Kotla 2 wicket. But the ministry batsmen failed in their endeavour and were shot out for 175 for the loss of nine wickets in 35 overs. Yogesh topscored for the ministry with an unbeaten 54 and Ravinder chipped in with 34. But for the two, the rest of the team failed as Rahul (3 for 21) , Walia (2 for 36) and Om Prakash (2 for 36) bowled a nagging length to pose problems.

In reply, Indo made 178 for the loss of two wickets in just 21 overs, thanks to the unbeaten century by Walia. His knock included 10 sixes and nine boundaries. The other not out batsman, Harjeet scored 26.
