At the RCBC courts today, Amit grounded Anupam Sonalkar 9-3 in the semis. Likewise, Prasad Bokil ousted Swanand Barve 9-2 to join Amit in the U-14 final. However, the girls had to overcome some stiff challenge before making it into the final of U-14 section. Preeti Bhatia took a little longer time than expected to defeat Kalyani Thosar 9-5. Juhi Chitnis also survived some anxious moments before subduing Kimya Karve 9-6.

The day also witnessed an upset in the girls U-10, when the top seed Nikita Atal was show the door by Mihika Karve 5-7 in the quarter-final round.The girls U-12 section will see a title clash between Preeti Sathe and Gayatri Pawar.

Rohil Shinde will meet Akash Wagh in boys U-8 final. Shinde defeated Kunal Apte 8-3, while Wagh defeated Sameer Patwardhan 8-3 to enter his first career final.
