PUNE, Dec 22: Rajeev Bagga of Maharashtra today proved why he still is the best shuttler, when he went to account for all the titles that were at stake, on the concluding day of the 17th National Combined Championship of the Deaf (National Games of the Deaf). Bagga defeated Sandip Dhillon of AISCD 15-2, 15-3 in the singles final. Sunita Anpat of Maharashtra won the gold in the discus throw event hurling the discus to a distance of 17.78 metres, in the seconds day's proceedings of the 17th National Combined Championship of the Deaf (National Games of the Deaf) here at Balewadi.
On the day Kerala athletes performed well to bag at least nine gold of the 20 events held.
