MUMBAI, Dec 28: Fr Agnel, Vashi defeated Agradneya Vyayamshala 21-12 in Mini Boys section in the Fr Agnel Invitational Basketball Tournament being played at the Fr Agnel Courts, Vashi today.

Big win for Ryan: Ryan International defeat Young Star B 3-0 in a II Division Football New India Insurance WIFA League at the Cooperage today. For Ryan International, Amjad Khan (2) and Ashwin Tandel (1) scored.

In another second division match, FCI defeated Indian Airlines 2-1. Praveen Kumar and N Poojari scored goal each for FCI while G Praveen scored the consolation goal for IndianAirlines.

Charu triumphs: Charu Garware (handicap minus 21) won the Bombay Presidency Golf Club Christmas Stableford edging out Ashish Mahtani (minus 29) through a count-back over the back nine at the BPGC course in Chembur today.

Both players had a tally of 43 points, but Garware, who logged 22 points over the back nine against Mahtani's 20 was awarded the title.

Garware hit seven pars while Mahtani shot five pars including those on the short holes second, sixth and eighth.

Mahtani also finished second in the beginning Tankard after tying with Amish Modi.
