VADODARA, Dec 27: An extension counter of the Vijaya Bank will be opened at the Vadodara Airport on Monday for passengers' convenience.Talking to Express Newsline, one of the officials at the Airport said the need for such a counter was felt for long. He said with the Ahmedabad airport being resurfaced, most of the flights would be diverted via Vadodara somewhere from around next month and hence this counter would prove very useful for passengers. Pointing out the absence of even banks in the proximity, he said the counter would help passengers to get their currency exchanged if need be. ``Money is something which could be needed any time and with no banks in or around the area, passengers were greatly inconvenienced,'' he said.
He said though currently the importance of the counter could not be realised because there there were not too many flights nor many who took international flights, once the flights were diverted the counter would prove very useful.
The extension counter will be inaugurated by V K Kalra, Regional Executive Director, Western Region of the Airport Authority of India.
