Tohra man removed from post
Delegates the Ludhiana (Urban) district Shiromani Akali Dal today voted to remove Tohra loyalist and MLA from Ludhiana rural, Hira Singh Gabria, as president of the district unit.They have authorised vice-president of the district unit and SGPC member Amarjit Singh Bhatia to meet Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and take a decision on the new president. Amarjit Singh will be meeting the Chief Minister tomorrow, says a report from Ludhiana.

Ashok Singhal attacks Sen
Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Ashok Singhal today said that the Nobel prize awarded to Amartya Sen was part of a Christian conspiracy to propagate their religion and wipe out Hinduism from this country, says a report from Jaipur. Singhal, the international executive president of the VHP, said here today the award to Sen was clearly ``politically motivated''.
