41 ISP providers get nod

MUMBAI: Basic telephony major MTNL, Indusind Cable Television, Zee Telefilms, Bharti Communications, Ortel Communications, Suchibh Communications and 35 others have received internet service provider (ISP) licences from the DoT. Sources said that these licences have been issued on the basis of the New Internet Policy announced on November 6.

The policy allows private ISPs to set up their own gateways, does away with the licence fee and extends the term of the licence to 15 years. The list of ISPs include MTNL (B category-Mumbai and Delhi), Indusind Cable Television (B-Mumbai), Indusind Distribution (A-all India), Zee Telefilms (A-all India), Wipro (A-all India), Rolta India (B-Mumbai) and Satyam Infoway (A-all India).

Flour mill from Scorpio Appliances

MUMBAI: Scorpio Appliances Pvt Ltd has introduced a new model flour mill targetted at the domestic market. The product comes with an auto-clean facility which cleans and shuts off automatically, a press releasefrom the company said. The flour mill will be marketed under the brand name of Natraj by Kiran Marketing Pvt Ltd.

Controls on raw materials liberalised

NEW DELHI: The government has liberalised the bonding procedure for 100 per cent export-oriented units by lifting all physical controls on the movement and clearance of raw materials/components and finished goods by them. The units will be able to clear these materials for manufacture of finished goods for export and sale in the domestic area subject to post-audit.

KVSS offices extends working hours

NEW DELHI: The offices of the designated authorities under the Kar Vivad Samadhan Scheme (KVSS) will remain open upto 8 pm on all working days and upto midnight on the concluding day of the scheme, that is December 31 to accept declarations.
