Police announce diversions for New Year's Eve

NEW DELHI, December 30: The Delhi Traffic Police will impose the following restrictions from 7.30 p.m. onwards tomorrow:
No vehicles will be allowed to proceed towards Connaught Place beyond Mandi House, Bengali Market, Chelmsford Road, New Delhi Railway Station, GPO, Gole Market, Patel Chowk, K.G. Marg-Ferozeshah Road crossing, Pach Kuian Road, Ashram crossing, DDU Marg-Minto Road crossing.

Vehicles will not be allowed in the Connaught Place inner, middle and outer circles.

Those passing through Connaught Place have been advised to use Delhi Gate - Tilak Marg - Rani Jhansi Marg - Panch Kuian Road - Mandir Marg - Park Street - Willingdon Crescent. For east-west movement, commuters can use Ashoka Road or Talkatora Road. Alternatively, JLN Marg - Pul Paharganj - DBG Road can also be used to bypass Connaught Place.

Those going to New Delhi Railway Station should avoid Connaught Place and come via Paharganj - Sheila Cinema or reach the Ajmeri Gate - JLN Marg side via Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg - Delhi Gate - JLN Marg.

Those going to Connaught Place can park their vehicles in the following places: In front of National Stadium, Gole Dak Khana (near St Columbus Church, Kali Bari Marg, Pt. Pant Marg), Patel Chowk - Rakab Ganj Road (behind AIR), Windsor Palace - Ashoka Road pavement towards Hyderabad House and Raisina Road, Mandi House - Copernicus Marg up to Baroda House, Minto Road - DDU Marg, Panch Kuian Road - RK Ashram Marg towards Paharganj, KG Marg - Feroze Shah Road - KG Marg towards `C' Hexagon.
