MUMBAI, January 1: Wine shop owner Bipin Shah was killed in the early hours of December 31 at Matunga after being attacked by robbers. According to police sources, Shah and Babubhai were locking their `Cheda Wine Shop' at Chandavarkar Road in Matunga around midnight when two customers asked for beer.As Shah went inside his shop to get the beer, three to four more persons with their faces covered with cloth walked in with choppers.
Demanding money from Shah, they grabbed his two mobile phones and money before stabbing him in his back and stomach.
The miscreants fled from the scene. Shah was taken to KEM hospital where he was declared dead before admission. The Matunga police are investigating the matter.
