Centre asked to begin talks with Kashmir groups

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
SRINAGAR, JAN 1: The Jammu and Kashmir unit of Congress has asked the Centre to initiate an unconditional dialogue with separatist Kashmiri groups, claiming that the situation in the valley was worsening, even after the formation of an elected Government in the State.

``Even after installation of an elected Government in the State, the situation is going from bad to worse,'' senior Congress leader and MP Mufti Mohammad Syed said here yesterday. He said that unless the Centre opened an unconditional dialogue with the groups, there could be no positive change in the overall situation in the State.
