RJD demands PM's resignation
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) today described as "most unfortunate'' the sacking of Naval Chief Admiral Vishnu Bhagwat, and demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for ``failing'' to explain reasons for his removal.

TMC calls for secular front in Tamil Nadu
In what is seen as an effort to form a secular front in TN, the Tamil Maanila Congress has called upon the political parties in the state which believe in secular principles to unite under one umbrella in order to protect the minorities from the "communal onslaught of the Sangh Parivar.''

Jaya to keep away during BJP leaders' visit again
