NEW DELHI: The oft-postponed Manipur National Games suffered another setback with the State Olympic Body dissociating itself from the organising committee of the Games scheduled to be held at Imphal from February 14 to 25.However, the Indian Olympic Association was optimistic of a prompt holding of the Games with IOA chief Suresh Kalmadi saying the matter was ``trivial'' and would be sorted out soon.

Manipur Olympic Association (MOA) withdrew from the Games Organising Committee (NGOC) in protest against the state government order that none of the MOA members in various NGOC sub-committees should be allowed to handle financial matters.

CHENNAI: Wicket-keeper MSK Prasad of Andhre will lead South Zone in the Deodhar Trophy limited overs cricket championship matches to be held from January 19.

NEW DELHI: Top seed Farah Khan (Kar) outclassed Sri Devi (Ker) 3-0 (105-85, 123-61, 91-81)) in her quarter-final match in the seventh Women's Nationals Billiards Championship. Anuja Thakur (Mah) created an upset when she defeated former champion Kamala C Babu (MP), 58-111, 109-69, 90-58.
