SEHORE (MP), Jan 3: A police constable, who opened fire from his service rifle here to express happiness over the arrival of the new year, has been suspended.According to police sources, constable Suraj Singh, who was on duty here at a busy square on December 31 night, was moved by the new year eve merry-making and opened two rounds of fire into the air at 11 pm.
However, the constable's bravado failed to impress the sub-divisional officer (police) Vineet Jain, who issued suspension orders on Friday.
