NEW DELHI, January 3: Around 400 delegates will attend the first-ever national conference of Indo-Burmese friendship society to be held in Jhinjholi (Haryana) near Delhi on January 16 and 17.A delegation from Myanmar (Burma) will also attend this conference. This delegation would seek mutual cooperation from their Indian counterparts in organising a Makar Sankraman-2000 conference in Rangoon (Yangon) on January 14, 2000.
The primary objective of the Jhinjholi conference is to garner goodwill and resources of like-minded individuals and organisations and revitalise age-old fraternal bond between the people of India and Burma before the advent of the next century.
