VADODARA, Jan 5: The polytechnic students of MS University have submitted a memorandum to pro vice-chancellor Deepak Kumar De on Tuesday against steep hike in examination forms.The students have said the price of the examination forms which were distributed in the college was priced at Rs 10 which was too high.
In the memorandum the students stated that the price of the forms was earlier only Re 1 and it has been hiked to Rs 10 which was not affordable for them.
The students also urged the authorities to halve the hiked price to Rs 5 to make it affordable.
The students have also alleged that one of the students was beaten up by a teacher in the college for protesting against the price hike. When contacted De he said, ``The students had come to submit a memorandum about the hike in the fee''.
He said they had been advised to make their representations about price hike and beating up of the student. He said the authorities will look into the matter before taking any action.
