Body found
The Pandesara police have found the dead body of an unidentified 30-year old person from the Pandesara GIDC Water Works lake. According to the Pandesara police, the person was wearing a blue shirt and navy blue trousers. The body has been sent to the New Civil hospital for autopsy, the police said, adding a case has been registered under section 174 of the CrPC.

Suicide
One Meena Navin Darji, (25), a resident of Wadi Mohalla of Rustompura area, committed suicide by setting herself on fire on Monday evening. The Kapodara police said the cause behind the extreme step was still being ascertained. They said she was admitted to the Sudip hospital in the area, where she died late in the evening.

Fatal fall
One Kishanlal Maalchand, 42, who sustained internal head injuries after he fell down accidentally died on Tuesday in the Mahavir hospital, the Salabatpura police said. Maalchand had gone to the Ajanta Shopping centre, when he fell accidentally and was since being treated for head injuries. A case of accidental death under CrPC 174 has been registered.

Vehicle thefts
Two vehicles, a Hero Honda motorcycle and an autorickshaw were reported stolen in separate cases of vehicle thefts registered in police stations of the city. According to a complaint registered by one Dilip Marathi, a resident of Vinayaknagar in Udhna area, some unidentified person stole his Hero Honda motorcycle (GJ 5 JJ 3458) from the parking space of his house. In another case registered at the Athwa Lines police station, an autorickshaw (GQI 3467) was stolen from the Rudarpura area during the night hours. Mohammed Hussainmiya, rickshaw owner, in a complaint stated that he had parked his autorickshaw opposite Green House in the area. Cases have been registered in the respective police stations.
