Nervous Tohra asks Takht jathedar to cancel US trip
Fearing a reprisal from his rivals, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Gurcharan Singh Tohra today rushed to New Delhi to try and persuade Akal Takht jathedar Bhai Ranjit Singh to cancel his tour to the United States.
No plan to rejoin Congress: Bansi
The Haryana Chief Minister, Bansi Lal today denied the existence of any bid to topple his Government. Asserting that he would complete his term of five years, he denied any knowledge about such bid.
Senate split in countdown to Clinton trial
United States Senators were split on Monday on whether to decide President Bill Clinton's fate after a full trial with witnesses or a truncated process leading to a possible formal rebuke.
