In other matches played today at the Military ground, Ghorpuri, Telecom Colony defeated Camp XI by the odd goal in three and Jolly Boys Ghorpuri got past ex-Ornellians by a lone goal while Wanowrie `B' too scored a similar victory over Strangers Sports Centre, in the third division matches.

The encounter between Khadki Blues and Wanowrie `A' started on a sedate note. Twenty minutes in the first half Prabhat Mathew put Khadki Blues in the lead with an aerial shot which descended over the head of the flummoxed keeper, Ivan Anthony and entered the goal.

A minute later the lead was neutralised by Edwin Nair in a rather amusing way which saw the keeper misjudge the direction of the advancing ball and see it go past him into the net. The second session saw Khadki Blues put in a shade better performance than their rivals. The continuous inroads made by them paid off immediately. Two quick goals in the 4th and 8th minute by Michael Andrews sealed the fate of Wanowrie `A'.

Strangers Sports Centre went down to Wanowrie `B' by a solitary goal scored by Yogesh Gaikwad in the 20th minute. Jolly Boys Ghorpuri too stayed on the victory path with their third win in as many matches. In today's encounter they had to work hard to down ex Ornellians by the only goal of the match. The goal came of the boot of Arvind Swamy in the 20th minute.
