One teacher sacked, 4 transferred for misbehaving with girls
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
CHENNAI, Jan 7: Four teachers of a Government Higher Secondary school at Sirukambur village in Tiruchirapalli district, have been transferred with immediate effect, following charges of `misbehaviour' with girl students there.Another teacher had been removed from service, an official press release said. It added that a departmental inquiry was being initiated against the four teachers. Parents of the students of the school had staged a representation before the Tiruchirapalli district administration about the alleged misbehaviour of some of the teachers. When the Education Department officials went to the school for an inquiry into the complaint on January 4, members of the public squatted in front of the school, demanding immediate action against the teachers.
