Four alleged robbers arrested

NEW DELHI, January 7: The West District police on Thursday claimed to have solved 16 cases of robbery and snatching after nabbing a gang of four alleged robbers. The police have recovered one black Yamaha motorcycle (DNI 6698), two gold chains, four wrist watches, one country-made pistol and two daggers.The men were caught at a police picket near Shakur Basti at around 6 p.m. on Tuesday. The police first heard a scream and then two men on a bike tried to speed past the picket. An alert policemen kicked the vehicle from behind. The driver lost control and he and the two pillion riders fell. The man who screamed, Lalit Kumar, also reached the spot and told the policemen that the three men had stolen his wrist watch, gold chain and wallet.
