Films Division's own documentary channel
Films Division (FD) is planning to start its own documentary channel on the lines of Discovery and National Geographic. A proposal to this effect has been sent to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for clearance, said FD chief Bankim.

Pampa's priest compromise on pitrubali, allege devotees
There are wide-spread complaints against the way pitrubali (ancestral offering) is performed by the 100-odd purohits (priests) at Pampa. The devotees complain that several purohits fail to adhere to the traditional Hindu belief while performing the ritual.
