Waugh was in touch with bookie for five months
Australian Test cricketers Mark Waugh and Shane Warne have denied that they fabricated claims former Pakistani captain Salim Malik had offered them $200,000 to throw a match.

India assures security, but Pak may not come
India has assured 'fool-proof' security to the Pakistan cricket team for its forthcoming tour following the Shiv Sena threat to prevent the series as Islamabad warned the visit might not take place in case the players' security was threatened.

Batting depth gives India an edge
The one-day internationals between the New Zealand Black Caps and India should be well contested, with India having a big advantage in the strength and depth of their batting. Sachin Tendulkar and Mohammed Azharuddin pose the greatest problems to the New Zealand bowlers, as was demonstrated in the Test series when both scored hundreds.
