College teachers to go on mass CL

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
LUDHIANA, Jan 14: Responding to the decisions of the executive committee of Punjab and Chandigarh College Teachers' Union (PCCTU), college teachers will go on mass casual leave on January 19 and hold a massive demonstration at Banur, the constituency of the Punjab Finance Minister.

K.B.S. Sodhi, secretary of the PCCTU, regretted that the teachers have been constrained to resort to an agitational approach due to the "indifferent" attitude of the Finance Deptartment towards their demands, cleared by the HRD Ministry and Punjab Education Department.

Meanwhile, on a call given by All India Federation of Agricultural University Teachers' Association, (ALFAUTA), the executive of the PAU Teachers Association (PAUTA) has decided that teachers will sport black badges tomorrow.
