Tipu's heir in judicial custody

MANDYA, JAN 16: Tipu Sultan's heir Asif Ali Shah and his family members were remanded to judicial custody till January 29 after the police arrested them on Friday and produced them before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Mandya.The police arrested them based on a complaint filed by the Department of Archaeology that they had trespassed the department's property and assaulted its employees.Asif Ali is lodged in Mandya jail.
