NEW DELHI, Jan 19: A handful of Shiv Sainiks today threw soda bottles and shouted slogans outside the Pakistani High Commission in the Capital's diplomatic enclave protesting the proposed India tour of the Pakistani cricket team. The protesters, numbering about ten, marched towards the blue-domed mission on the Shanti Path around 2.45 pm shouting anti-Pakistan, anti-Inter Services Intelligence and pro-Shiv Sena slogans. They also threw soda bottles from a distance even as security personnel posted outside the mission rushed to stop them.
After the protest, which was over in three minutes, some Sainiks boarded a city bus from opposite the Pakistani mission while the others fled the spot of protest.
However, the bus boarded by some of the protesters, was immediately stopped by security personnel and taken to the nearby Chanakyapuri police station.Six persons, including Raj Kumar Chokan, all belonging to Bharatiya Kamgar Sena, the trade union wing of the party, were detained, police said, adding theyhad been charged with unlawful gathering and abetment.
Meanwhile, Delhi Shiv Sena chief Jai Bhagwan Goyal said the protest was ``only a warning and the cricket Tests between the two countries will not be allowed to take place as long as Pakistan continues to aid and abet terrorist activities in the country.''
