IMPHAL, Jan 19: Fancied Bengal opened their first account beating Gujarat 4-0 in Pool F of the 34th Junior National (under-19) Football Championship for the Dr BC Roy Trophy at Khuman Lampal Practice Field here today.Uttar Pradesh finished their pre-quarter final league round with a 3-0 win over Pondicherry in Group C, while Manipur and Uttar Pradesh played out a goalless draw.
In other matches, Maharastra beat Rajasthan 1-0, Goa defeated Himachal Pradesh 8-1 and Orissa defeated Punjab 2-1.
Tomorrow's matches: Maharashtra vs Sikkim, Mizoram vs Tripura (Group A); Delhi vs Kerala (Group B); Goa vs Jammu & Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh vs Meghalaya (Group D); Karnataka vs Andhra Pradesh, Punjab vs Madhya Pradesh (Group E).
