CTCC refutes Jain's claim
The Chandigarh Territorial Congress Committee has strongly reacted to the statement of local MP Satya Pal Jain that the Congress had suffered heavy losses in the recent UT panchayat polls. CTCC spokesperson Sunil Parti said in a statement that the BJP had been routed in the panchayat polls, claiming that the Congress had in fact gained largely. He further claimed that had the elections been fought on party symbol, the Congress would have completely routed the BJP, adding that the verdict clearly went against the policies of the BJP-led Central Government.
