Bhasha to get 20 acres of land

VADODARA, Jan 19: The State government has issued orders for allotting a 20 acre tract of land at Tejgadh to the Bhasha Research and Publication Centre to undertake it's activities, Centre Chairman G N Devy said on Tuesday. The message was conveyed to the Centre by District Collector Anil Mukim on Monday, Devy said, adding that the land had been given at a token rent of Re 1.

Working in the area of tribal culture, arts and languages, the Centre has started libraries for tribal children and Tribal Artists' Cooperative. It plans to start a national institute of tribal studies and training at Tejgadh. The institute will comprise a research library, studios, workshops for artists and a performance arena, besides a museum of various communities and tribes of India.

The institute will serve the purpose of a training campus or tribals from various parts of India.
