MUMBAI, JAN 20: Kulbahadur Thapa won the gold medal in the below 56 kg class in Senior National Judo Championship at Bangalore recently, according to a press release issued by Mumbai Judo Association today.Thapa defeated Veerpal of Border Security Force, the Commonwealth Gold medallist and five time National champion in the final which with equal scores. The match referee and judges declared Thapa as winner for his aggressiveness, application and domination.
Tilak Thapa, brother of Kulbahadur also won the silver in under 66 kg as he was defeated by Jagbir Singh of Central Industrial Security Force in the final.
