Mehra hits ton

NEW DELHI, Jan 24: A century by former Punjab Ranji cricketer Ajay Mehra (118) for Vijay Mehra Academy and an unbeaten 101 by Aditya for Shanti Academy were the highlights of the tied match between the two teams. Ajay Mehra struck three sixes and 15 boundaries in his 76-ball knock.

Brief Scores: Vijay Mehra Academy: 252 for 6 in 30 overs (Ajay Mehra 118, Kartik Arya 30, Haris Masood 30, Sunil 2 for 40) tied with Shanti Academy: 252 for 7 in 30 overs (Aditya 101 not out, Anshul 29, Dinesh 3 for 30, Shahzan Masood 2 for 25, Kamal Kishore 2 for 30).

Bhardwaj shines
An all-round display by Sanjay Bhardwaj (82, 3 for 29) helped Account beat Sales by 37 runs in the semi-final of Taj Palace inter-departmental tournament at DPS ground, RK Puram. Account will meet F and B in the final.

Brief Scores: Accounts: 166 all out in 24.2 overs (Sanjay Bhardwaj 82, R Prabhakar 3 for 20, Anindo 2 for 20) bt Sales: 129 all out in 21.2 overs (A Bhattacharya 32, Gulerio 4 for 13, Sanjay Bhardwaj 3 for 29, K Murti 3 for 20) by 37 runs.

Sai teams for Bhopal
