CHANDIGARH, Jan 27: Host Punjab University bagged the titles in both men and women groups, respectively, in the All India Inter-University judo (men and women) championship, which concluded at the PU Gymnasium Hall here today.In the five-day meet, PU secured 14.5 points to retain the title in the women's section. Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, with 7 points were placed second followed closely by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, with 6.5 points.
Last year's runner-up PU improved upon their performance by one step to win the top slot in the men's section. The team got 10.5 points. Kurukshetra University were second with 7 points. Third place went to Mumbai University, who secured 6 points.
