Jagannath temple inaugurated

NEW DELHI, Jan 28: The newly-built Sri Jagannath temple complex at Tyagraj Nagar (Prem Nagar) in the Capital was today opened to public after the ``jibanyas'' on new sacred idols. Gajapati Maharaja of Puri, Divyasing Deb, as the custodial performer of traditional temple rites at Puri, conducted the ``poornahuti'' ceremony. To grace the occasion, the Minister of State for Coal Dilip Ray, including former Chief Justice of Supreme Court Ranganath Mishra, visited the temple complex.Copyright © 1999 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
