What's In What's

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
Woman Power
Master storyteller Joy Fielding springs back with Life Penalty, the horrifying tale of a woman's nightmarish journey into a killer's twisted mind. Gail Walton considers herself lucky, living the American dream with a home in the suburbs, a successful husband and two lovely daughters. Until the unthinkable happened. Her six-year-old daughter Cindy is abducted, raped and murdered. Consumed by grief and rage, her family fears she's losing her grip on reality. But Gail has a description of the killer, a desperate plan...and a gun. Priced at Rs 262, you can pick your copy of this dramatic tale at all leading bookstores in the City.

Chi Chi Khichdi
Darling of the masses to darling of the (crusty) classes, and now it's Indipop that's falling in love with Chi Chi's change charm. Everyone's seen and heard Kadd Ditti Jaan from his debut album Govinda -- His First Album. The lyrics and music have been composed by sis Kamini Khanna, who's also sung along with him in Mujhse Karegi Pyaar. The Kadd Ditti Jaan video features an all-cool Govinda wooing doc-turned-model Aditi Gowitrikar.

A word of caution: buy the album only if you are a no-holds-barred Chi Chi fan. His angrezi effort So What (so what if you can't figure out whether he's singing English, Latin or Bhojpuri?) might sound a bit strange, but Chi Chi remains Entertainer No. 1.

Spanish Serenade
If you've dreamt of a smoky voice singing Spanish serenades in the moonlight, this is one sure-fire way to make your dreams come true. Milestone Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. is releasing a spanking new remix of the King of Romance, Englebert Humperdinck. The Dance Album, features some of his all-time hits set to groovy dance beats. Apart from the ever-popular Release Me, Quando, Quando, Quando and Spanish Eyes, the album also has five of his new numbers. Bonus tracks include the Spanish remixes of Spanish Eyes and Cuando, Cuando, Cuando. The album released to rave reviews in the United Kingdom and is sure to appeal to today's swinger who grooves to yesterday's tunes. Priced at Rs 100, it is available at all the leading music stores in the city.
