Modern School triumph
Modern School (Barakhamba Road) overwhelmed Bal Bharati Public School (Pitampura) by one wicket to reach the semi-final of the sixth Bro. Dunne inter-school tournament at Mt St Marry School ground.

Kunal Kapoor (4 for 41) and Shiv Narain (3 for 38) were the star bowlers for the winners while Parvesh took three wickets giving 44 runs for the losers.

Brief Scores: Modern School: 220 for 9 (Shiv Narain 45, Dibesh Arora 45, Shahil Jain 36, Parvesh 3 for 44) bt Bal Bharati: 219 (Ekant 53, Nikhil Kwatra 47, Mohit Khanna 20 not out, Shiv Narain 3 for 38, Kunal Kapoor 4 for 41).

Shivam excels
An unbeaten knock of 89 by Shivam helped Shri Ram School (Seniors) crush Dehradun Old School boys by 213 runs at Shri Ram School ground.

Brief Scores: Shri Ram: 286 for 4 (Shivam 89 not out, Pulkit Gupta 50, Anand 42, Madhav Kapre 26) bt Dehradun Old: 73 (Namgyal 20, Pratap 3 for 10, Kartick 2 for 15, Akshay Sinha 2 for 16).

Meet put off
The Ashok Sharma Memorial Carrom tournament scheduled to be held at Bengali Club, Kalibari, Mandir Marg and Anglo Arabic School, Ajmeri Gate on February 5 and 6 has been postponed. The new dates will be announced later.

Industrial Cup
District Cricket Association, Gurgaon will organise Industiral Cricket Cup for industries from February 21 at Nehru stadium, Gurgaon.

Entries close on February 16 with OP Taneja, secretary, DCA and Kishore Kumar, Nehru Stadium, Gurgaon. Winners and runners-up will be richer by Rs 11,000 and 5,100, respectively.
