CHANDIGARH, Feb 5: Charanjeet Singh and Ranbir Kaur were adjudged the best athletes in the men and women sections, respectively, in the Government College of Education Sector 20, annual athletic meet which conluded at college premises today.

Women: 50 m: 1 Paramjeet, 2 Ranbir, 3 Deepinder. 100 m: 1 Paramjeet, 2 Monika, 3 Gurjot Kaur. 200 m: 1 Paramjeet Kaur, 2 Kanwaljeet Kaur, 3 Gurjot Kaur. 400 m: 1 Kanwaljeet Kaur, 2 Sukhpal, 3 Paramjeet Kaur. High jump: 1 Abha, 2 Paramjeet, 3 Meenakshi. Long jump: 1 Ranbir Kaur, 2 Monika, 3 Kamaljit. Discus throw: 1 Gurjot, 2 Ranbir, 3 Priya. Shot put: 1 Ranbir, 2 Gurjot and Kuntla, 3 Deepinder. POA meeting today
The Punjab Olympic Association will hold meeting of secretaries and managers of various associations who are representing Punjab in the fifth National Games to held at Manipur from February 14, tomorrow at 11 a.m., at Kisan Bhawan in Sector 35.

According to a press release, the Punjab contingent will leave in three batches. The first would leave on February 7 while the second on February 9 and the last batch on February 10.

Sports kit would also be given to the associations.
