Two arrested
Two robbers trying to escape were arrested in Badarpur, South Delhi. Shiv Kumar, a resident of Rajender Nagar and Tarvinder Kumar, of Kidwai Nagar, were arrested on Sunday between 3 and 4 p.m. The third accused, however, escaped.The police seized Rs 10,000 and a gold chain from them. A case of robbery has been registered in the Badarpur Police Station. The police do not rule out their involvement in other robberies.
According to the police, Satish Kumar, the victim, was returning to his house in Sector 9 in Bharoli village from Jaitpur. When he reached the Agra canal, three persons stopped his car. They then allegedly snatched his chain. When Kumar resisted, he was pulled out of his car and beaten up. The assailants took whatever cash he had on him and fled.
Robbers nabbed
The Nangloi police has arrested two robbers. 20-year-old Chaman Lal and 18-year-old Bikki allegedly robbed Shyam Lal, a resident of Amar Colony, of Rs 500 on the intervening night of February 2 and 3 near Krishna Dharam Kanta road. The two reportedly also stabbed Lal on his thigh. Lal has been admitted to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital. In another incident, the Paschim Vihar police arrested a robber yesterday. 30-year-old Subhash alias Mota and his two accomplices, Pritam and Bahadur, allegedly hit two persons on their heads with iron rods and robbed them of Rs 200.
