A rare feat by Kumble as India win
Leg-spinner Anil Kumble today became the second bowler in Test history to claim ten wickets in an innings as he ran through Pakistan's batting line-up in the second essay to bring a 212-run victory for India in the second Test at the Ferozeshah Kotla ground in New Delhi on Sunday. Kumble sent down 26.3 overs and took ten wickets for 74 runs to become the first indian bowler to achieve the feat and equalled the 43-year-old record of Englishman Jim Laker.

Gilchrist shines
Adam Gilchrist scored a brilliant 154 to power Australia to a record total in the limited overs match against Sri Lanka at the MCG on Sunday. The opening batsman survived a run out chance on nought and a dropped catch early in his innings to smash his second century of the Tri-series competition and set a record score for an Australian player.

Hockey Test
With the inclusion of Baljit Singh Dhillon and Sukhbir Singh Gill, the Indian hockey team which lost both the Tests played at Delhi and Bhopal will try to make a comeback when they take on the buoyant Pakistan in the third Test at the Begumpet Hockey Stadium here on Monday.

JCT held
A little slackness on the part of their custodian Virender Singh dashed the hopes of Jagatjit Cotton Textile, Phagwara to avenge their earlier defeat at the hands of Dempo Sports Club, Goa and notch full three points by an outright victory. Although leading 1-0 in the first half, JCT drew 1-1 playing against Dempo in the group `A'.
