Employ servants after furnishing particulars -- Police

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
PANCHKULA, Feb 10: As a measure to check crime by domestic servants, residents of the township have been prohibited from employing domestic servants or helpers, including part-time maids, without furnishing their particulars to the police.

Breach of the orders, issued under Section 144 of the CrPC by Panchkula District Magistrate Saroj Siwatch, can be punishable under the Indian Penal Code. The orders, which come into force with immediate effect, are applicable for two months.

A police spokesman said that forms for furnishing particulars have been printed and are being distributed in all the sectors through the police stations concerned.
