Notice to Telecom GM

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE  
CHANDIGARH, Feb 10: UT Civil Judge (Senior division) B.C. Gupta today issued a notice to general manager, Telephone Communication with regard to disconnection of STD.

In a civil suit filed here today, plaintiff S.K. Aggarwal, proprietor, Biomex Instruments and Systems, requested the court to restrain the defendant from disconnecting STD on his premises.

He stated that until recently he had been paying his telephone bills regularly. Later, he received three bills of the amount of Rs 73,236 which he could not pay on account of business crisis. He stated that he had requested the telecom authorities not to disconnect his STD on grounds that he would pay the due amount through monthly instalments of Rs 5,000 each.

The plaintiff also stated that he was ready to give an affidavit to the effect that he could not pay the bills on account of bad business conditions.The Judge has issued a notice to the defendants for February 17.
