VADODARA, Feb 10: In a bid to give students exposure to industry and industrial exhibition, students of eight departments of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology will display their work at the VCCI exhibition, which is scheduled to begin from February 18.Apart from them, students of other departments will also display their works during the two-day open house to start from tomorrow.
Talking about the open house workshop, Superintendent, G Karhadkar said that the laboratoties of all the 15 departments would remain open for visitors including school children. ``We have invited some 102 schools to attend the workshop,'' said Karhadkar, adding that workshop would help students understand the latest scienctific developments in an interesting way.
``Children will be informed about the latest developments in Computer Aided Designing and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CADCAM),'' Karhadkar said, adding that the work by both undergraduate and postgraduate students would be on display.
The visitors would also be acquainted with the laboratory work which the students of faculties have been engaged in the past few months, Karhadkar said, adding that the main attractions of the open house would be the Chemical Sunset by the students of the Applied Chemistry department.
Through a display of numbers, the students of the Applied Mathematics would also come to know of the latest developments especially in projects. Karhadkar said that the work by the students of the Applied Mathematics department had already been appreciated by industries like ABB and ONGC.
