Resurgent India finally get measure of Pakistan
The wheels of fortune turned around. A brave Indian team made it happen with a 3-0 drubbing of Pakistan for a face-saving victory in the fourth and final Test of the home leg, in the Pepsi Friendship hockey series, at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium yesterday.

Indian in Salt Lake hot water
An ethics panel implicated 10 more members of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in a report that detailed the extreme means Salt Lake City used to land votes for the 2002 Winter Games.The 10 IOC members were not previously tied to Salt Lake's excesses.

England fall short by 10 runs
Australia, commanded by Shane Warne, kept their head while England panicked and lost the last six wickets for 24 runs to toss away the first final. This was a classic case of one team knowing how to win and the other not being sure of themselves.
