Three city youths die in mishap near Islampur

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE  
PUNE, Feb 12: Three youths from the city who were returning from Ratnagiri, died in a road mishap at Vitthalwadi village four kilometers from Islampur in Sangli, on the Pune-Bangalore highway last night.

The youths were travelling in an autorickshaw which was hit by a speeding truck going in the opposite direction. Two others were also injured in the mishap which occurred around 2.30 am.

The deceased have been identified as Vijay Anant Rahate (26), Ravi K Makam (27), both residents of Gokhalenagar and Subhash Atmaram Rakshe (25), a resident of Wadarwadi. They were returning after attending a friend's marriage.
