Businessman in critical condition

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, February 12: Harish Nagpal, 35, has survived two murder attempts on him over the past three years; doctors at Sunder Lal Jain Hospital are not sure whether he will survive the third that took place last night. They have removed two bullets from his kidneys and one from his lower abdomen, but he is still in a critical condition.

The police are yet to find any clues to the identity of the man who shot at Nagpal with a Mauser pistol. ``But we are sure that the previous attempts and this incident are connected,'' said a senior Delhi Police official investigating the case. ``We have requested the UP police for more details. One of our teams have also gone to Gajnola (UP) where Nagpal has several business establishments.''

An immediate provocation for the attack, say investigators, could be the fact that Nagpal had recently bagged a huge liquor contract.
