Invitational boxing
The Pune District Amateur Boxing Association and the Reliance Boxing Club will jointly organise a one day invitational boxing meet at the General Arunkumar Vaidya stadium on February 14.

The meet will be conducted in junior, sub-junior and senior categories. Weighing in and other formalities will be carried out on the day of the meet at 8.00 a.m. For further details contact Madan Kothule, 29/413 Lokmanya Nagar, Opp Post Office, Pune 30. Tel No. 537497.

Groundsmen felicitated
Pune Schools Athletic Association (PSAA) recently felicitated Dhondiba Thombre and Ramchandra Dude, two individuals who have completed over twenty years of dedicated service as groundsmen at the Shri Shivaji Preparatory Military School here.

At a function at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, the PSAA lauded their contribution and efforts. The two have painstakingly maintained the ground, apart from assisting in the markings for the various sport activities conducted by the PSAA or the Pune Zilla Parishad Sports Department.

Cycle race on February 14
Bhor Friends Club, Rajwada Chowk, Bhor will organise a cycle race for Indian made cycles on Sunday, February 14. The race is being conducted under the aegis of the Maharashtra Cycling Association.

Bhor Sindewadi (Shirwal) Kapoor Hol-Bhor form the route of the race. Interested participants should contact Balasaheb Kakde, Omkar Tailors, Bhor or Yogesh Gupta, S T Canteen, Bhor, Tel: 22199.

Swastik beat Thermax
Swastik Rubber registered an easy 16-2, 16-6 win over Thermax Ltd. in the final round of the Industrial Direct Shooting Volleyball tournament organised by the Industrial Sports Association (ISA) at the Bajaj Auto ground on Thursday.

In the semi-final round Swastik Rubbers defeated Baja Auto `A' 16-2, 16-6 and Thermax defeated Bajaj Auto `B' 16-6, 16-9.
