The Delhi police have found a rather disturbing connection to all these incidents. Teenagers, mostly school dropouts, have been found to be involved in each of these cases. Their motives: Love triangles, a fast life and earning a lot of money quickly.

CASE 1: The Tilak Nagar Police happened to visit the mortuary in Safdarjung Hospital. They were looking for Ravi Shankar, reported missing since Feb 5, at various place.They foundhim, decomposed, naked and battered to death with a stone. Ravi Shankar's body had been fished out from the Yamuna by the Sarita Vihar Police on February 13 and preserved for identification.DCP Sahay says investigations earlier revealed that Ravi Shankar was visiting a girl in his neighbourhood. The girl had a boyfriend Harmeet, 18, who took offence to Ravi Shankar's visits. And Harmeet and his friend Hemant, 17, had returned home very late on Feb 5.

When the police questioned Hemant after the body was found, he reportedly confessed to the crime. Harmeet, however, is absconding. Both Hemant and Harmeet are school dropouts.

CASE 2: The police suspected that Bodhi Raj Malhotra, 70, had been murdered because it was common knowledge in Mansarovar Garden that he had recently sold a portion of his property for Rs 1.5 crore. On Wednesday, some policemen rushed to the Widow Colony area of Punjabi Bagh after they came to know that two teenagers were being thrashed by the residents. The teenagers, later identifiedas Angad Kumar Sharma, 18, and Mali Ram, 19, had threatened to implicate a woman, living in the colony, in the murder of Bodhiraj Malhotra. Angad also claimed he had killed Malhohtra at the woman's behest.``It later turned turned out that Anagad had a illicit relationship with the 32-year-old woman and had taken Rs 15,000 from her to start a business.''
