NEW DELHI, FEB 24: Italian businessman Ottavio Quattrocchi has refused to come to India and said that he is willing to be interrogated provided it is either in Italy or Kuala Lampur and in the presence of his lawyer. In a signed statement from Kuala Lampur, Quattrocchi, accused of having siphoned off millions of dollars of Bofors kickbacks, blamed ``miscommunication'' between him and his lawyer for the suggestion in the Supreme Court that he was willing to come to India and be interrogated by the CBI.
He also said that the CBI in the ``politically motivated case'' was only interested in maligning the name and reputation of a ``particular family.''
