Examination centres

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, February 24: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has set-up 2,344 examination centres for Class X and 1,958 centres for Class XII board exams this year. With more than seven lakh examinees appearing for the board exams, the CBSE will involve more than 64,000 persons at different levels.

Admitting that it was not a zero-error system, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has however said that the human element involved in the system did lead to discrepancies here and there. CBSE officials pointed out that over the years, they had made several improvements including the introduction of multi-set papers, development of detailed designs and guidelines for paper-setters.
