YS Marwahbags title

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE  
PUNE, Feb 24: Group captain YS Marwah, playing to a handicap of 16, won the Holiday Inn golf tournament with a stableford score of 40 points. Manjot S Marwah, playing of a 17 handicap, was the runners-up, also with 17 points. YS Marwah won on account of a better back nine score.

Anil Sheolaker (handicap 35), won the bronze division with 41 points, while Rakesh Tandon (21 handicap) was runers-up with 38 points. Seema Singh (handicap 28) won the Best Lady Golfer prize with 37 points for the second year in a row. Ikram Khan (handicap 8) won the prize for maximum pars (11) while Sandeep Phalniker (handicap 2) won the prize for maximum birdies (3). K Rajaram (handicap 27) won the prize for the best front nine with 22 points, while SR Kaushik (handicap 33) had the best back nine with 23 points. The tournament, in its second year, attracted a record number of entries of over 150 golfers from Pune.
