Admn cautions students on stirs

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
CHANDIGARH, Feb 25: The Administration today asked the city students not to be `misled and resort unjustifiably to agitational approach' and clarified that it would not be inclined to consider all the demands of the Punjab University Campus Students Council under the threat of an agitation.

Responding to the `threatening tone' of the Students Council with regard to the demands put forth by it only recently, the Administration, in a release here, said it was unreasonable on the part of certain leaders to start an agitation soon after submitting the memorandum.

The Council demands withdrawal of entertainment tax on cinema for students, 50 per cent reservation of cinema tickets for students, free bus passes etc.

"While it is possible for the Administration to consider the demand of bus pass counters in university and college premises and separate buses for girl students, it feels that demands on cinema tickets were unbecoming', the release said.
